Australia! perth, lancelin, cervantes and pinnicles, river hutt province, kalbarri

Ok so i arrived in australia, in perth and it was raining and also a bit chilly. what the hell!! first impressions where that the drivers all seemed to be losing it on bends and our airport minibus to our hostel skidded in the rain into the kerb! so not good first impression, but it soon grew!!
below are pics of the bell tower and perth harbour, couthouse garden and old fire station building.
I had heard some good things about perth, but i didnt get to see much, i went to freemantle which has a better architectural feel to the town than perth but i missed out on alot of other places around perth i heard were good. basically my time spent in perth was arranging my life up the west coast and enjoying the backpacker sceen and nightlife a little too much!!!

below, this is the car i will be travelling from perth to darwin in, with stan-belgium and sophie-dutch. pictured in lancelin which had the white sand dunes spread across vast distances!

after lancelin we drove to cervantes, seeing the stromatolites before sleeping in the car! sophie stayed in a backpackers.

when we woke up, at sunrise, we went to the pinnacles, formed by different geological layers and weathered into different 'pinnacles'. we managed to see then at sunrise but then it rained, so we left it for the next day at sunrise again, the weather was still bad but it finally cleared after lunch so we took some more pics with the light and shadows! as below

below are the footprints of a kangaroo, this day was special for me not only for the pinnacles but in the park i also saw my first kangaroos, an emu and a fox!

Me and sophie slept in the car and stan slept in his tent, we purchased a tent for me and sophie a few days later as we found it easier to camp, and more comfy! On the way to kalbarri we stopped off at a place called hut river province, which legally is a country of its own in oz! how crazy, so now i have a stamp in my passport from there!! we met the prince(dont have king?) he let us sit in his throne and showed us about(basically no more than a few buildings with church and post office set on his farm!but he doesnt have to pay tax!result! also being built whilst we were there was going to be a pyramid, which when water is taken from within it it heals some form of skin cancer? not entirely sure i understood what was going on really, it wouldnt surprise me if they burried him in the pyramid, he is getting old now!

We got to kalbarri the same day and visited a few lookouts and walking trails along the coast.slept in car that night but the following day after seeing more lookuts and walks we camped in our new tent. it was so windy and actually cold near the coast!
