byron, brisbane, surfers paradise, stradebroke island

ok so after sydney i knew i had to travel quick to see my friends and get some other stuff done, got myself a bus pass(1st one for oz) and headed up to byron, about 12 hours overnight!
pics below are of byron bay, it was raining and i only stayed 2 hours to see the beach!

the most easterly point of oz apparently?

below pics of surfers paradise beach, caught some great waves on the body board!

park near my friends matt and mollys house near brisbane, fed the wallabies and see a koala, my first but sadly not in the wild!oh well you cant have everything!

nepalese peace pagoda in brisbane!

bridge over river to city centre

a few pics of the beaches on stradbroke island, very nice quiet place!

fraser island, the forrest below

lake mckenzie, nice place but was very busy when we got there!

plane on beach for tourist flights along fraser coast, too expensive for me!

eli creek

pics of the wreck

pinnacle sand dunes along east beach

just about see the turtle popping up for air at indian head at top of island

the 14 person 4x4 truck we were on, went over evrything we needed it too!

ok so i managed to see my mates for about 10 days which was really cool, wish i had one month longer then i could of spent the whole 3 weeks with them and see fraser with them and noosa which i missed out on! after doing fraser on my own with a tour i headed straight away once on mainland all the way up to cairns! 22 hours on the same coach! plus i had the shits from fraser and whole of bus journey! not good!
anyway caught my plane which was the main thing! off to new zealand i go for a new adventure!!!!!!

adelaide and sydney

flying doctors H.Q in alice springs, short but interesting tour, better one was the school of the air tour in which children of the outback were taught via radio!

leaving alice springs via the famous ghan railway

pics on board!

pics around adelaide town, after breaking my back with all my stuff from train station!!!

got lift with an italian couple from adelaide to sydney, took two days, camping in free area and freezing butt off!! nice friendly couple, dropped me off in centre of sydney where my sightseeing began!!! it was a mission walking all day but well worth cramming it all in before heading off to meet my friends!

after wandering around sydney for a couple of days i decided to yake a trip to manly, was a bit windy but nice walk along the beach!

back to sydney to bondi beach (above2 pics)for some chillin and checking out the local talent(sorry missed the chance to take pics!)then walked through botanic gardens and took some more pics!

took train ride to blue mountains, saving myself a few bucks by walking about 14k's to see most of the lookouts and waterfalls etc.. well worth it, but broke my expensive well made flip flops from thailand! walked bare feet from sydney station to backpackers, looked and felt like a homeless person(probably not the first time!)
