My travels: Paihia, new zealand, xmas 06

Hello everyone, hope you all had a merry xmas!
just a quick blog to let you all know what i got up to and try to make you jealous!

after a month in auckland, partying, finding a job, being skint and getting bored i decided to get away for xmas! wasnt sure how but sometimes it all just falls into place!
met this french guy antoine, who was previously in my dorm and who had arrived in auckland to see what was going on for xmas, not much, so he said he had met a south african who was going to give him a lift up to paihia on 24th!
decided to flee up north with them, managed to find a dorm room, very lucky, and got on the piss!
see lots of faces i knew from auckland so it was a good night finished off with a fire on the beach!

managed to meet some of antoines friends who then introduced me to other people who just happened to be going to the beach for xmas, with lots of beer and the beer olympics!
blindfolded wheelbarrow races, cricket, and spinning around a pole after necking a drink! all good fun!
me and the irish lad where paired up and finished joint top! we never did finish the final game! drink and food back at the irish lads house on the beach front got in the way!!!
was very lucky to meet them as nowhere was open for xmas day!

managed to go for a swim too on xmas so very happy, sun was shining and it was about 26 degrees! nice!
