met up with rob and kicki for a tour of the north of new zealand! 1st off kerikeri and a small bay called doves bay, great for a free area to camp!!!


wine, with very sophisticated glasses on robs pull out table, how good is that! note the floewers on the table too, very romantic!

next we drove all the way up to cape reinga, the furthest north we could go, below you can see pics of the area and the two tides meeting, the tasman and the pacific!




we stopped off at a camp site just below the top, stayed there for new years eve too, it was great, sun, sand, sea, people and booze! lovin it!

the man below in the bright yellow jacket, shorts and leg warmers talking to kids is bananas, says it all in the name!!

back on the road and down to doubtless bay and matai bay! nice bay, didnt get any pics unfortunatly but the pics below are of the largest kauri trees in the world during are drive back down the west coast!






also stopped off at kai iwi lakes, really nice lake then free camped near the piroa waterfall


before heading to auckland we visited goat island, but it was busy from kids on hols, then stayed at a bay on the beachfront a little south managing to squeeze in a walk around a park before i got back to the smoke aka auckland!!
and back to work!! how poo!
